- Since 2015, BNP Paribas Wealth Management has a competence center in Lisbon ("PIMH” stands for Portugal International Markets Hub) to manage activities for several International Markets ("IM") locations (Switzerland, Luxembourg, Germany, Monaco)
- To help and contribute to the set-up and development of the investment risk framework of the IM Investment Services ("IS") platform. The IM IS platform is providing high-end expertise, investment services and financial products to wealthy, sophisticated and demanding private clients. It has a wide range of offering and is positioned as a hub for the IM sites of Wealth Management
Your Main Activities Are
- To contribute for the development and improvement of Investment Risk Framework and the Modelling Framework within IM IS platform
- Reporting to the Team Leader, an Investment Risk Senior Analyst has proficient knowledge and understanding of financial markets and its products, as well as investment processes and services offered by the wealth management industry. In addition, concepts of investment policies and risk controlling are required
- Investment Risk Framework
- To run the Discretionary Portfolio Management ("DPM") and Advisory Investment Risk reporting processes. Actively monitor the breaches and propose, promote action plans or escalation processes
- To prepare and participate the DPM and Advisory Investment Risk Committees
- To foster best practices with an innovation and efficiency angle within the department
- To create and promote business relationship with DPM and Advisory stakeholders
- To produce risk metrics for clients’ portfolios - VaR, stress tests, tracking error, among others - contribute to Request For Proposals
- To participate in the approval stage for new products within the scope of the department
- To promote a risk culture by contributing to the improvement of control framework and respect of investment policies and client conduct
- Launch MiFID II related controls under the framework of Investment Risk
- Modelling Framework
- To run the modelling of financial products processes
- Keep the stock of non-modelled products at a desirable level
- To review the risk score of the financial products offered to WM clients
- Participate in meetings related with projects and initiatives
- To challenge and propose new approaches for modelling of financial products
Profile and Skills to Success
- Bachelor Degree in Economics, Management, Accounting, Mathematics or equivalent
- At least 5 years of Experience in Banking and Financial Operations or Financial Analysis and Advisory
- Knowledge of Financial Markets and Products (equities, bonds, funds, derivatives, private equity, among others)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Pack (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in Computing Programming Skills, such as SQL, PowerBI, Python, and VBA
- Knowledge of Access (Business Object / BI4)
- Fluent in English
- Verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to work under pressure and independently
- Capacity to adapt to a fast pace and multi-cultural environment
- Good analysis capacity, rigor and accuracy, dynamism, flexibility and autonomy
- Ability to synthetize / simplify and challenge the status-quo
- Motivation and ability to perform coaching for new joiners
