Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:BJU Press recently rebuilt the entirety of our e-commerce platforms. In this role, you will work with designers and subject matter experts in key areas to implement effective user experiences across BJU Press e-commerce platforms. You will maintain and continue to develop best in class websites and work to optimize web speed and navigation for users across mobile and desktop platforms.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Proficiency in website programming languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in building and developing a team in the area of web design.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
- Ability to understand business needs and find technical solutions
- Solution-oriented supported with programming skills
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize web pages for security and responsiveness
- Ability to monitor customer usage and buying patterns and make recommended site changes to accommodate changes
- Understanding of the implementation of third party scripts and overseeing them
- Understanding of network diagnostics and analytical tools

Responsibilities:
- Writing website code with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, React, TypeScript and Javascript
- Producing, maintaining and modifying websites and user interfaces
- Incorporating applications, graphics, audio and video clips into websites
- Creating new website pages
- Enhancing user’s overall website user experience through best practices and site analytics
- Ensuring websites are accessible across many platforms, including laptops and smartphones
- Routinely testing websites for ease of use, speed and other quality factors
- Fix or oversee fixing any website issues or bugs that arise
- Build and develop team according to the architectural need of the platform.
