JOB DESCRIPTION
Division: Economic Development
Department: Office of the Chief Administrative Officer
Initial Reporting Location: Tom Davies Square
Job Status: Limited Position
Estimated Probable Duration: Up to One (1) Year
Affiliation: Inside Unit
Hours of Work: 70 hours bi-weekly
Shift Work Required: n/a
Range of Pay: Group 7 - $27.22 to $31.86 per hour (Subject to Review).
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Successful completion of Secondary School (Grade XII) Education plus some further education or training in web design/digital media or related studies.
- Over one (1) year up to and including two and a half (2½) years of experience on a similar job or related work.
- Knowledge of CGS’s French Language Services Policy and other relevant French language services requirements in provincial and federal legislation.
- Demonstrated ability to work with sensitive materials and absolute discretion.
- Demonstrated ability to work with computer software and administrative systems in a Windows environment (e.g. files maintenance, word processing, computerized spreadsheet applications, presentation software, information input and retrieval, etc.).
- Demonstrated keyboarding (a minimum of 60 words per minute) and word processing skills.
- Knowledge of website authoring software, hardware, and their related processes.
- Knowledge of content management systems and software and their related processes.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent use of English; verbally and in writing.
- French verbal skills highly desirable; written skills an asset.
- Satisfactory health, attendance and former employment history.
- Physical capability to operate a vehicle safely, possession of a valid driver’s licence, and have an acceptable driving record, will be considered an asset

Development opportunity range of pay: $26.41 to $31.05 per hour (Subject to Review). The successful candidate will be paid at the reduced range until the minimum qualifications have been met.
