Our ideal Project Manager is a creative problem-solver who is a collaborative leader and exceptional communicator. The Project Manager leads teams of designers, developers, and other stakeholders to plan, execute, and deliver website design and development projects for clients in various industries across the United States. As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our client’s needs are being met. Whether our clients are on maintenance contracts or have a new website build, print project, or animation you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects on time, on budget, within scope, and with the highest level of quality. As a growing company you need to collaborate, be nimble, be able to work on multiple projects at a fast pace, and contribute to our process.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a web content strategist, developer, or web designer is preferred, or a degree in Project Management, Business, Information Technology, or a related field. PMP certification is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within a web design and development agency or similar digital environment. Experience with associations, healthcare, education, and nonprofit organizations is a plus.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex website design and development projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication (verbal and writing), negotiation, and client management skills.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, specifically Monday and GetHarvest.
  • In-depth understanding of web design and development processes, technologies, and best practices. Including agile methodologies.
  • In-depth understanding of design thinking, user research, content analysis, search engine optimization, business analysis, and analytics.
  • Eager and willing to learn about and use new technologies related to the full website design and development process.
  • In-depth understanding of website content management systems, specifically WordPress and Sitefinity. Additional knowledge of other .PHP and .NET platforms is a plus.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making capabilities to navigate project challenges and changes.
  • Detail oriented.
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to gather business and technical requirements.
  • Must be located in Maryland with the ability to travel 1-2x per year.

Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams of designers, developers, content creators, and other stakeholders to successfully plan, execute, and deliver website design and development projects.
  • Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with clients and internal teams. Clearly define project scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Requirements Gathering: Ability to gather and document both business and technical requirements.
  • Resource Allocation: Allocate resources effectively to ensure that projects are appropriately staffed with skilled individuals who can deliver high-quality results.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project delivery.
  • Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients, providing project updates, addressing concerns, and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all deliverables meet the established quality standards and client requirements. Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks before project delivery.
  • Scope Management: Manage scope changes and requests from clients, ensuring that changes are documented, evaluated for impact, and appropriately integrated into project plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging open communication, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
  • Performance Tracking: Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators, and provide regular status reports to clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the improvement of our processes.
