REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience, or 10+ years of relevant experience.
    Required Skills/Programs/Languages: Adobe Creative Suite including Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Office Suite, PHP, SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, SharePoint site development, PhpStorm, Microsoft Visual Studio Code, Microsoft Teams, Section 508 Compliance
    Desired Experience/Skills: Sitegauge, AFPIMS and Army CORE Content Management Systems, knowledge of relevant DOD web and external online presence policies a bonus. Microsoft Teams, knowledge of AP Style/ any web editing experience, previous social media experience

Responsibilities:

PRIMARY/MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide web development support for the National Guard Bureau’s Public Affairs office.
  • Serve as a webmaster for www.nationalguard.mil.
  • Support planning and creation of various micro sites (ex: COVID-19 Response, National Guard Birthday, heritage month spotlights).
  • Work with various staffs within the organization to maintain their office webpages, as well as various internal web applications.
  • Provide technical assistance and some graphic design support for the website and social media platforms. (Example: Develop social media friendly holiday graphics, National Guard birthday logo, etc.).

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Provide support for SharePoint/MS Teams sites including but not limited to managing account approval, updating files/reports, providing technical expertise.
  • Help develop and send relevant web and social media analytics reports.
  • Maintain/ensure www.nationalguard.mil’s compliance with Section 508 and relevant DOD web policies.
  • Maintain and quickly respond to inquiries in website inbox.
