POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Web Developer and Cloud Integration Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our organization’s web applications, as well as developing APIs to ensure seamless integration with cloud-based applications. This role involves working closely with various departments to understand their web development and cloud integration needs and implement solutions that enhance our online presence and operational efficiency. A key aspect of this role is to ensure that all solutions adhere to the highest standards of information security.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and/or have 5 years of relevant experience and industry certification;
  • Proven experience as a Web Developer, with a strong portfolio of web applications;
  • Experience in developing and maintaining APIs for integrating web applications with cloud-based services;
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and integrating web applications with cloud services;
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js);
  • Proficiency in back-end development using languages such as Python, PHP, Ruby, or Node.js.;
  • Experience with databases (SQL, NoSQL) and developing APIs;
  • Strong understanding of web security principles, secure coding practices, and data privacy regulations;
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., WordPress, Drupal) is considered an asset;
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies is considered an asset;
  • Relevant security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CSSLP, CEH) is considered an asset;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
  • Must be able to lead and work from a feminist, anti-racist / anti-oppressive perspective for operations and strategic planning;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills;
  • Must provide a current Criminal record Judicial Matters or willingness to obtain at own cost;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and also work effectively in a team;
  • Bilingual English/French or other languages an asset.
