Web Front End Developer & Designer

CMC are hiring! We have a newly created opportunity for a Web Front End Developer & Designer to join our Singapore office on a full time permanent basis. Please note this role will be based onsite 5 days per week.

KEY SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Experience in working with headless CMS systems like Contentful, Sanity or Kontent.ai
• 2-3 years of experience in front end full stack JavaScript development using NextJS (or similar frameworks)
• Documented experience in working with cloud services (AWS)
• 2-3 years development experience using clean and compliant XHTML 5
• 2-3 years development experience with SASS/SCSS and frameworks such as Tailwind.
• Good understanding of UX and UI design best practices.
• Experience with Lighthouse and SEO best practices for optimised web content.
• Recent practical experience in a highly agile commercial environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail.

Desirable

• Experience in Continuous Integration and version control.
• Experience with Webpack, Vite or similar build process.
• Experience of full stack JavaScript/TypeScript development.
• Knowledge in the Adobe CS suite: Photoshop, Illustrator
• Continuous delivery and cross functional teams
• Some knowledge of Adobe Indesign, Premier Pro and After Effects is a plus

Web Developer:

• To develop full stack, cloud-based Javascript applications using NextJs & Headless CMC systems
• To create responsive websites and PPC landing pages from Figma/wireframing tools and written briefs.
• To develop for the desktop, tablets and mobile devices.
• Develop well-formed CSS compatible with the most used web browsers and native mobile browsers.
• To work with the website content editors (CMS users) to ensure website pages are consistently well formed (layout, copy structure etc) and achieving the desired results.
• Working on a number of varied web development projects from making pixel perfect sites that meet the design requirements to integrating CSS code with a CMS.
• Maintain personal/professional development to meet the changing demands of the role, including all relevant regulatory and legislative training

Web Designer:

• Help to create and execute web design plans to help CMC achieve its marketing goals
• Support the design process by working with Art Director on the creation of visual assets such as landing pages, websites, and digital creatives

Undertake such other duties, training and/or hours of work as may be reasonably required and which are consistent with the general level of responsibility of this role. It will occasionally be necessary to work on bank holidays, evenings or weekend, by mutual agreement, with time off earned in lieu.
