JOB SUMMARY

The Website Management Specialist develops and maintains custom website content for company products, company promotion, staff engagement and company recruitment. This role requires creativity, excellent planning and process with an analytical mind and a detailed understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO). The ideal candidate displays an excellent understanding of content management systems (CMS) and technology infrastructures using CSS, Firewalls, IDS/IPS, Web-Proxy, and Security Audits as well as customer relationship management systems (CRM) particularly Sugar. This specialist has meticulous attention to detail, outstanding problem-solving skills, and exemplifies fantastic content creation and writing skills. The specialist is comfortable troubleshooting the website and constantly improve the User Experience of the corporate websites.
Work Location: In Office (Currently 3 days a week, subject to change)
City: Surrey
Type: Contract (3 Months)
Salary: $36 - $42 / hour
This range reflects the minimum and maximum target payable for the base salary of new hires across all Canadian locations. Actual compensation may vary outside this range and is dependent on various factors.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience taking projects from planning to delivery both alone and with a team.
  • Ability to troubleshoot website issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent content creation and writing skills.
  • Fantastic time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Able to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals.
  • Shows initiative and is comfortable leading small projects.
  • Strong attention to detail with an analytical mind and outstanding problem-solving skills.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Work experience in marketing or a related field preferred.
  • 2 years of work experience as a website manager is preferred
  • A degree in computer science, IT, systems engineering, or related qualification is ideal.
  • Expert knowledge of WordPress, Macromedia suite, Adobe suite, Content Management Systems, and W3C Web standards.
  • Highly proficient in HTML, XHTML, CSS design, cross-browser and cross-platform compatibility, firewalls (functionality and maintenance), Access, mySQL and JavaScript.
  • Great understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and knowledge of Paid Per Click (PPC) is a bonus.

Responsibilities:

  • Content management, page creation, post creation, microsites, polls, landing pages, registration pages, events, product pages.
  • Management of all pages and managed content for 7 multi-language websites.
  • Manage and configure the implementation of complex integrations for the dynamic corporate website (CRM, webforms, plugins, content backend, Partner locator map, event registration and confirmation system).
  • Maintain funnel from registration to lead gen system.
  • Overall content generation for dozens of pages and microsites.
  • Plan, implement, manage, monitor, and upgrade the organization’s website.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot all website issues.
  • Conduct content audits to eliminate redundant and/or duplicate information.
  • Ensure website quality and efficiency by conducting regular test plans.
  • Improve the User Experience of the website regularly.
  • Collaborate with all staff and management to ensure that website(s) align with brand strategy and meets the organization’s standards.
  • Create strategies to grow subscriber base and web traffic metrics.
  • Ensure full compliance on the website with all laws and regulations.
  • Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and monitor competitor websites.
