For this position you would be working with our client from the European institutions.
The European Commission’s Audiovisual Service (DG COMM.A4) provides essential EU-related news and archives for media professionals. The 17-member information systems team, led by a team leader, includes project managers, analysts, programmers, designers, testers, and support staff. They manage 14 small to medium applications using JavaScript, Oracle, Angular, Node JS, PL/SQL, HTML, and XML. New systems are developed in Java on the WebLogic platform with a hybrid backend using MongoDB and Oracle, and records are exposed through an enhanced SolR server.
Below are the details of your role and requirements.

Your role

  • Digitize video files for website upload and archiving
  • Manage CDN file server
  • Manage live streams on social media
  • Guide and support users with tools, platforms, and wikis
  • Centralized support for social media live streams for DGs, Commissioners, journalists, and institutions
  • Analyze business requirements for platform solutions
  • Implement and customize solutions on existing platforms
  • Review and correct platform usage
  • Write procedural manuals and guides
  • Participate in corporate meetings and strategy discussions
  • Engage in technical working groups and progress meetings

Who we think you are:

  • 3+ years in user documentation
  • 3+ years in CDN and media file management
  • 2+ years in testing
  • End-user assistance for information systems
  • Knowledge of wiki, collaborative sites, social networks
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365, MS Teams, JIRA
  • Experience with CDN tools, manual and automation testing
  • Good reporting methods, presentation skills
  • Ability to maintain high quality standards
  • Adaptability to fast-changing technologies
  • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
