BACKGROUND…

Here at Who’s Listening we are a full-service marketing agency who specialise in social media and websites. We’ve been in business nearly 3 years and in this period have seen some great growth, allowing us to work with a variety of businesses across lots of different sectors.
To support this, we are now looking grow our team by adding a hungry and ambitious individual, so we can put ourselves in the best position for what will hopefully be an exciting 2025.
We work from home, with monthly company events alongside content days with our clients to make sure that we still see each other (not just through our screens!).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE…

Please note, not all of these skills are essential as full training will be provided, but an interest and understanding of them will be important.

• Experience with Wordpress, either designing for Wordpress websites or building within visual page builders (essential).
• Graphic design skills using packages such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Adobe XD or InDesign (essential).
• Knowledge of HTML and CSS (desired).
• An understanding of how servers work for allocating space etc. (desired).
• Organised, with strong attention to detail and exceptional time management skills (essential).
• English language is incredibly important, so exceptional communication skills, both verbally and written.
• Ability to understand and interpret a brand’s tone of voice.
• Outgoing and confident.
• Ability to multi-task and juggle various projects for clients.
• A team player - experience working as part of a team.
• Pro-active, continually learn and develop for both personal and professional growth.
• Self-starter - essential when working from home.
• Driving licence - to allow you to visit clients in-person (desired).

THE ROLE IN BRIEF…

This role will be based around websites, both creating new websites for our clients as well as maintaining them and making changes where required. All of the websites that we create for our clients are either in Wordpress or Shopify.
As a Website Designer and Developer you will be responsible for delivering websites as per the brief supplied by the client. You will have the opportunity to be involved in the full process, but will have the full support of the team throughout.
There will also be various opportunities to get involved with other areas of the business if you are interested - such as SEO and social media (in-house) content.

RESPONSIBLE FOR…

• Speaking with clients to determine requirements for each project (on calls and in person).
• Setting up staging environments within the server to build new websites.
• Designing and building new websites for clients in page builders such as Elementor (Wordpress) or Shopify, ensuring all websites are optimised for all devices.
• Carrying out monthly maintenance on websites hosted by us.
• Making changes and updates to existing websites as and when requested by clients.
• Optimising new websites for SEO.
• Ensuring all required tracking elements are setup correctly on new websites.
• Where required, sourcing relevant imagery and/or icons for websites.
