EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in event planning or coordination within the hospitality industry.
  • Strong background in customer service, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with vendors.
  • Some college coursework, plus 1–2 years of sales or catering-related experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for professional client and team interactions.

Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

As the Wedding and Events Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in planning and executing weddings, corporate events, social gatherings, and catering services. You’ll ensure each event runs smoothly, while providing outstanding service to clients from start to finish.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with clients to determine event objectives, themes, and budgets.
  • Plan and execute weddings, corporate meetings, social gatherings, and catering needs from conception to completion.
  • Manage logistics, including venue selection, transportation, and guest accommodations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
  • Monitor and handle inquiry calls, providing client proposals in line with established policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders throughout the planning process.
  • Oversee function room setups prior to guest arrivals to ensure compliance with client requirements and resort standards.
  • Welcome group contacts upon arrival and ensure guest satisfaction throughout events.
  • Maintain organized client files, contracts, and detailed event records.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
