West Cork’s finest hotel The Maritime Hotel, Bantry has a vacancy for Wedding Executive.

Reporting to the Wedding Coordinator this is an excellent career opportunity for a hospitality professional to gain experience in all aspects of weddings & special events and help us maintain our reputation for excellent service.
This role works 3 days per week and will include some weekend work.

SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in supervisory or mgmt. level in event mgmt. or hospitality
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • 3 level qualification in event mgmt. or hospitality is preferred but not essential
  • Able to work on own initiative but equally comfortable as part of a team
  • Great communication skills written and verbal

Responsibilities:

  • Meeting with our perspective wedding couples and showing them our wedding venue, taking them through different offerings, answering their queries and securing the booking.
  • Working with the Wedding Coordinator to arrange all aspects of the Wedding from booking stage right through to their wedding day, on all of the details of their wedding and pre and post wedding celebrations
  • Facilitating menu tasting as the couple chose the menu for the most important meal of their lives together
  • Completing the BEO (event software) so that all managers are aware of all of the details for the wedding
  • On the day of the wedding assisting in set up and once the ceremony is over sticking with the wedding couple and ensuring all details of their day are delivered as promised and in line with our operational procedures
  • After the wedding ensuing that all billing is accurate and complete
