ABOUT PIPECARE GROUP:

PIPECARE Group specializes in providing advanced in-line inspection and integrity services for pipelines, consistently exceeding industry standards set by the Pipeline Operators’ Forum (POF). Founded in 1998, we serve national and international pipeline operators across more than 85 countries. We are in search of a Welder - (6-G) who is highly motivated and quality-conscious professional to join our team in Dammam, KSA.

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Mechanical supervisor, the Welder operates and maintains machines assigned and required as per PIPECARE Group standards.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities

  • Proven experience as welder
  • Must be minimum 7-year experienced Fabricator.
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
  • Deftness and attention to detail
  • Proficient in English
  • Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
  • Professional Certification (e.g. an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus
  • Able to read assembly drawings and interpret welding symbols.
  • Operates machine such as welding, drilling, etc.
  • Maintain the machines as and when required.
  • Keeps the machines and workshop area clean and tidy.
  • Lays out, positions and secures parts and assemblies according to specifications
  • Installs or repairs equipment. Observes tests on welded surfaces
  • Analyzes engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly and welding operations
  • Inspects grooves, angles or gap allowances
  • Determines required equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy, geometry and welding techniques
  • Develops templates and other work aids to hold and align parts
  • Carries out any other related Jobs as and when required by the Supervisor and/or HOD

Accountability

  • Respects fellow employees.
  • Makes sure to follow PIPECARE Group policy in respective department.
  • Makes sure the correct drawing is followed
  • Maintains department tidy and implements daily housekeeping

Skills/Experience:

  • ITI Technical certificate. (Industrial training institute)
  • Minimum 5years of experience in engineering/design department for production of design / shop drawings / material submittals
  • Prior experience in inline inspection is preferred
  • Language: English should speak and understand English
