Access Precision Machining Ltd is located in Salmon Arm, British Columbia, one of the most beautiful places in Canada, and recently ranked #1 community in BC. Access Precision Machining incorporates the latest Mazak CNC tool technology with highly skilled journeyman machinists to service a variety of industries and applications. We also provide Waterjet Cutting, Fabrication, Welding, as well as Assembly and Testing Services. Our 35,000 sq-ft state-of-the-art facility (completed in 2015) is always kept in immaculate condition and is as well equipped as any machine shop in a major center.
Our shop works 4 - 10hr shifts Monday to Thursday, allowing for optional overtime on Friday’s when available or regular long weekends to get out and enjoy all the Okanagan has to offer with your friends and family. Camping, boating, fishing, skiing and snowmobiling all right our your front door!

Access Precision Machining is looking for a skilled Red Seal Welder!

• Journeyman/Red Seal Welding Ticket/or equivalent is required.
• Proficient in TIG/MIG/Stick welding techniques.
• Understands common ferrous/non-ferrous/reactive metals and their weldability including Aluminum, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel.
• Proficient in SMAW, GMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and MCAW welding procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols to determine welding specifications.
• Layout and align components using precision calipers, rulers.
• Fabricating knowledge including bending, forming, shearing, etc.
• Perform freehand and guided cuts on low carbon steel, cut metal using shears and saws.
• Is aware of and understands their role in the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, etc.)
• Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
