ABOUT US

Iron Embers Inc. is a small business in Guelph, ON. We have been building premium quality firepits since 2011, and have branched out to also include a range of general fabrication services.
We are looking for a qualified candidate that is experienced in production welding, can fit in with our team, work with management to increase the overall skill level of the shop, while meeting (or beating) takt times.

Duties:

  • Read and interpret basic drawings to determine project specifications
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components using various welding techniques
  • Operate and maintain welding equipment
  • Perform welding tasks such as cutting, grinding, and polishing to prepare materials for fabrication
  • Use hand and power tools to measure, cut, shape, and fit metal components
  • Conduct quality inspections to ensure finished products meet industry standards
  • Collaborate with team members to plan and prioritize work
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

If you have the following skills, then you might be an ideal candidate:

  • Proven experience as a fabricator/welder, minimum 1yr
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of welding techniques
  • Ability to operate forklifts, and other heavy machinery safely
  • Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with precision
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
