Description:

JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Team Supervisor to oversee our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong MIG welding and fabrication knowledge and experience in welding, and be able to read and understand drawings and the use of various hand and power tools. As a Team Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that production goals are met while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a manufacturing or fabrication environment is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical principles and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Proficiency in welding techniques, particularly MIG welding, along with experience in fabricating components from sheet metal.
  • Familiarity with basic maths skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
  • Ability to effectively use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily operations of the fabrication team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
  • Fabricate components according to specifications, utilising sheet metal and welding techniques.
  • Assemble products using various tools and equipment.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on the proper use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work processes to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with management to identify areas for improvement in production processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of production output and report any issues or discrepancies.
