Job Description Summary
We are seeking highly motivated and skilled Engineers to join our dynamic Wells Team. In this role, you will collaborate with a talented team of seasoned professionals.
You will be an integral part of the planning, drilling, and completion of oil and gas wells, working closely with experienced engineers, geologists, and field operations team to ensure our wells are constructed safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning and design of well construction activities, including well trajectory, casing design, drilling mud programs, and completion designs.
  • Support the execution of drilling, completion, and work-over operations.
  • Assist with the analysis of well data, including drilling logs, mud reports, and production data, to optimize well performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, operations, and geology, to integrate well engineering with overall field development.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance Well Engineering processes and procedures.
  • Provide technical support and field oversight as needed during Well operations.
  • Assist with the preparation of engineering reports, proposals and presentations.

What You Will Bring

Experience

  • 0-4 years of relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, internships and/or co-op programs are preferred.

Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, or any engineering related field with a minimum grade of second class upper or equivalent.

Expertise

  • Familiarity with well engineering principles, drilling operations, and completion technologies.
  • Knowledge in using Wells engineering and other engineering software, such as well planning and simulation tools and digital tools for well engineering.
  • Ability to leverage data visualization, predictive analytics and machine learning to optimize well performance would be an added advantage.

Additional Considerations

  • Strong foundation in petroleum engineering principles, including well design, drilling, and completion.
  • Familiarity with well planning and simulation software, as well as data analysis tools.
  • Understanding of drilling operations, mud programs, casing design, and completion techniques.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry regulations, standards and best practices
  • Ability to prioritize safety and environmental considerations in all well engineering activities.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills to present technical information clearly.
  • Demonstrated capacity for logical, analytical, and creative thinking.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and recommend solutions during well operations.
  • Eagerness to continuously learn, acquire new skills, and stay up to date with industry trends.
