Description:

Aon is hiring a West Region Leader located in Los Angeles, California!
You will inspire and lead colleagues and teams to deliver positive results for our clients and our business to build your region. This will take shape by driving our 3x3 plan across the geography, bringing together solution line, industry and segment strategy delivered through Aon Client Leadership to ensure we help clients make better decisions. You are responsible for client satisfaction, profitability, and excellence in delivery, providing strategic leadership on new business pursuits, establishing and driving a talent agenda to increase colleague engagement and retention and leading an ongoing pipeline of senior talent, and drive top and bottom-line financial success within the markets.
The West Region Leader has senior level management, consulting and operational levels of responsibility with accountability for increasing the volume of clients and colleagues in both the mid and large market sectors in their respective region.
What the day will look like
Affirm and amplify the Aon United strategy and deliver our 3x3 plan metrics in the region, connect colleagues and clients to our strategy and drive execution.
Partner and collaborate with solution line, industry and segment leaders to drive growth, translate strategic direction, and deliver on our client service standards
Lead overall financial performance and business P&L to include revenue, Operating Income and margin expansion.
Grow revenue and increase market share within the region and for the firm, putting the client at the center to ensure we are always delivering the best of Aon.
Lead office leadership teams for local office implementation and execution of local, regional and national initiatives partnering with national practice leaders to drive consistency
Monitor colleague engagement and establish action plans to proactively address talent opportunities
Network with external senior talent across the industry to deepen succession plans and strengthen the practice
Focus on leadership development by serving as a coach to direct reports and other high potential talent
Work with other leaders to better understand our clients’ current and future challenges and uses that data and analytics tools to explore potential solutions
Proactively build strategic external relationships, develop community relations and leverage relationships to fulfill client needs and expand Aon’s presence
Manage your portfolio keeping a keen eye in the market for M&A opportunities and portfolio optimization.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
10+ years of experience providing counsel to large and middle market clients including coordination of service for inward and/or outward business, negotiating multinational insurance programs, and/or leading collaboration across offices and/or geographies to support multinational risk management/finance practices on behalf of insureds, brokers, and/or insurers
Exemplary collaboration and conflict management skills to work across a complex, helixed organization.
Team management including staffing, training and expense management
Demonstrated ability to lead in the community, bringing together business leaders and clients in an impactful way
Multicultural awareness
Outstanding Leadership skills
BA or BS required. M.B.A. is a plus. Appropriate Insurance Licenser
