Utility Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced sales leader to join our organization as the Regional Sales Director in the Western Region of the U.S. covering WA, OR, CA, AZ, UT, NV, ID, MT, WY, CO, NM, ND, SD, NE, KS, OK, TX, MN, IA, MO, AR, LA, AK, HI. Our ideal candidate must be self-motivated, growth-oriented, and a good communicator with a proven history of success.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Regional Sales Director reports directly to the CEO and is an integral part of the company’s commercial team. This important position focuses on managing all sales aspects of the Western Region including the development and execution of the regional sales plan, leading/developing assigned Territory Sales Manager(s), managing the partnerships with manufacturer’s representatives and distributors, and growing existing customer and new prospect relationships to achieve company sales growth targets.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of 7 years of direct sales management experience in the electrical/power products industry
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth
  • Minimum of 5 years of managing a sales team with a demonstrated history of achieving success
  • Bachelor’s Degree is a requirement
  • Up to 75% travel
  • Willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and background check

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Strategy Development and Execution: Develop overall regional sales plan and drive its day-to-day execution including managing the CRM process.
  • Customer Relationship Management and New Business Development: Travel extensively throughout the region to consultatively call on existing customers and new end-user accounts. Assess key customer requirements and standard work methods and present our product (new and existing) based solutions. Facilitate customer approvals and product adoption process.
  • Key Account Team: Function as a key member of the company’s key account sales process in partnership with the company’s leadership, sales, and product management teams.
  • Manufacturer’s Representatives and Distribution Partnership Management: Establish and manage manufacturer’s representative sales plans, and provide sales support, direction, and product training. In partnership with the company’s Distribution Manager, develop and support key distributor relationships.
  • Sales Team Leadership: Develop and manage Territory Manager(s) within the region.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the company’s key functional areas including:
  • Product Development Team: Provide market/customer feedback, market trends, and ideas for new products.
  • Product Management: Support new product introductions, approvals, and adoption plans. Provide feedback on exception pricing.
  • Customer Service Representatives/Inside Sales: Work closely with the CSR team to keep account activities current.
  • Marketing: Support marketing initiatives and trade show activity
