JOB DESCRIPTION

This is an opportunity to work in risk team in real estate area.
As a Wholesale Credit Risk – Real Estate & Structured Finance Vice President in the Real Estate & Structured Finance Team, you will be responsible for evaluating, underwriting, and managing a portfolio covering a wide range of clients in the Real Estate and Asset-Backed markets. You will work closely with clients and internal business partners to assessing clients creditworthiness and transactions financial risks, structuring derivatives and financing solutions and leading transaction execution.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS, CAPABILITIES, AND SKILLS

  • Strong credit skills and judgment, with a flexible approach to identifying risks.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Be able to establish credibility and trust with internal business and risk stakeholders.
  • Good working knowledge of transaction structures, documentation and banking products sufficient to assist with (and lead when appropriate) the execution of new deals and amendments.
  • Experience in loan financing in the real estate sector as well as securitizations
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also being able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience in a comparable environment

Responsibilities:

  • Work as a team to negotiate and construct recommendations for new transaction approvals including secured and unsecured loans, Real Estate & asset-backed loans/warehouses, and traded products (derivatives & financing trades).
  • Lead transaction execution management including performing due diligence & credit analysis and reviewing loan agreements and other transaction documents to assess the credit worthiness of counterparties and make recommendations as to appropriate structure, risk appetite and risk grading.
  • Commit to development for self and team. Managing, coaching & training more junior members of the team on both technical and professional skills.
  • Manage ongoing credit risk portfolio including monitoring of credit exposures & limits, credit ratings, market events and client performance
