Wholesale Key Account Manager
Location: flexible in west or southwest Germany (Cologne, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Erfurt, Essen, Kassel)
Language Requirements: fluent German and English
Duration: fixed term contract for 12 months

In this role you are the personification of Diageo’s ambition: to become the best-performing, most-trusted consumer goods company in the world and to build category-leading partnerships with industry-leading accounts.
We are looking for someone with large expertise in the On-Trade market and the trends within the channel. Someone who is well-connected within the German Wholesale network, who knows the route to market in the spirits industry, and who has a proven track record of selling brands in this space.
You have a high affinity for high-quality brands and an in-depth understanding of spirits consumers and how to engage with them. You can establish and keep excellent relationships with key influencers in the industry and beyond, and you know the most relevant customers to partner with. You engage with decision-makers of the On-Trade and Off-Trade network to ensure our products are visible to consumers and you engage the consumer by driving awareness and brand passion for our products.
This is a commercial position by heart, and you are responsible for commercial success and inspiring customer loyalty while implementing marketing activations.
Top Accountabilities
- Development of customers on a regional level.
- Run day-to-day business with the assigned customers in the On Trade channel.
- Comprehensive analysis of the relevant customer and category data including the derivation of specific strategies, guidelines, and measures.
- Development of customer-specific marketing concepts including sales and budget planning as well as control and support of new product launches and sales campaigns.
- Establish and foster relationships with decision-makers.
- Plan and conduct annual negotiations.
- Intensive cooperation with the field organization and with important internal interfaces such as Finance department, Marketing and Business Effectiveness.
- You set high quality standards to represent our brands to consumers and ensures that our customers are adopting the highest standards.
- You develop profitable activation programs while partnering with our customers and ensures that these are reflected in commercial agreements.
About You
- Min. 5 years of experience in commercial roles within FMCG.
- An engaging commercial leader who has successfully worked in a matrix and international environments.
- Profound Knowledge of the Germany On-Trade Market
