Description:
The WHS & HR Business Partner will play a dual role, combining strategic HR business partnering with a key focus on Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) across Demant’s Australian operations. This position is integral in partnering the local production business and Audika clinics across Queensland, while also leading the development and implementation of WHS strategies for Demant nationally. The successful candidate will work closely with business leaders to foster a positive culture with leading levels of engagement, align HR initiatives with organisational goals, and ensure compliance with WHS legislation, maintaining a safe and productive workplace for all employees.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in HR business partnering, with a strong background in Workplace Health & Safety management, ideally within a multi-site, dynamic organisation.
- Experience in both production and retail environments is highly desirable, especially in understanding the unique challenges of each.
- A proven track record of partnering with senior leaders to deliver HR solutions that drive business success.
- Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Psychology, WHS, or a related field.
- Certification or qualification in Workplace Health & Safety is highly desirable
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of Australian WHS legislation and best practices, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical, business-focused manner.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with leaders, employees, and external partners.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess risks and make sound recommendations.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and demonstrate flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Proven experience in managing workplace incidents and developing safety initiatives that foster a strong safety culture.
- Strong understanding of HR practices and policies, with the ability to integrate them effectively with WHS strategies.
