Pexip is seeking a talented Windows Application Engineer to join our Engineering organization.
As a member of our team, you will be working alongside engineers and other colleagues based in the UK, Norway, and elsewhere, whilst sharing responsibility for the development and improvement of our new native Windows video conferencing client, one of a suite of client apps offered across different platforms.
The work location for this role is our office in Reading, UK. Some flexible/home working is allowed.

Responsibilities:
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Your day-to-day work will initially focus on developing new app features as well as maintaining, testing, debugging and creating automated tests for these features in our secure Windows video conferencing client. You will collaborate with other developers working on the same codebase, as well as working alongside product owners, designers and developers who are working on similar apps for non-Windows platforms.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU ARE LIKELY TO HAVE EXPERIENCE IN THE FOLLOWING:
Must Haves:
- A software engineering background
- A team player
- C# language skills and .NET experience
- At least 3 years of experience of front-end Windows Desktop App development and maintenance
- Experience of WinUI 3 or other frameworks/SDKs like WPF, UWP, WinUI
- Great written and spoken English, including the ability to learn about and discuss complex architectures with other developers
- Troubleshooting systems involving components created by multiple teams
- Experience of writing and maintaining automated unit and system tests for the functionality you develop
- A willingness to support our software engineers in QA as they build full integration tests for all our products
- An understanding of secure software development
- Eligibility to work in the UK: Candidates must have the right to work in the UK at the time of application. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role
Highly desirable:
- Experience of working in a distributed team
- Fluency in C language development and interfacing C# code with C code
- A good understanding of networking and networked app troubleshooting
- Experience of GStreamer or other comparable media frameworks
- Experience of working with UX design teams and Figma
- Experience with MVVM
- Experience with Visual Studio
