Our multi-disciplined teams include: DevOps Engineers, IT Architects, Front and Back End Developers, Infrastructure Specialists, Cyber Experts, as well as Project and Programme Managers.
An exciting opportuntiy has arisen for a Windows Servers SME. As Windows Server SME, you will Provide overall leadership, oversight, to build and run the Windows Server practice capability within WPB IT; across all dimensions, including people, process and tools.

Responsibilities:

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Manage a global virtual team of circa 10 – 15 infra Windows FTE. Accountable to ensure best practice, standards, recommended tools and technologies are used within WPB IT.
  • DevOps, improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the virtual team by automating manual task. Devolve responsibility where automation is not possible to the POD teams. Champion the use of Agile and DevOps principles/methodologies.Identify key blockers and play a lead role in the removal of blockers and hence facilitate the implemenation of tactical and strategic solutions accordingly.
  • Oversee the Asset Class PODS, Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts to implement AC strategy, support business requirements and function goals within entity policy, expense and regulatory constraints.
  • Manage Governance over technical interviews, assessments and certification for cross-training into Practice functional roles.
  • Advise and guide the shaping of the infrastructure architecture which underpins the WPB business from a Windows server perspective. Work with the asset classes to maximise consistency and re-use of solutions across the WPB business we support

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU SHOULD MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficiency in Windows server admin skills (i.e. Windows 2012 / 2016/2019 ), 10 years’ experience minimum is a must. Should possess industry standard certifications for Windows domain.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure (Cisco, TCP/UDP, LAN/WAN, GSS, F5, VIPs, Firewalls).
  • Demonstrable experience of scripting (e.g. using Powershell / Python/ WSH / VBScript / Batch) with automation skills.
  • Experience of working as an engineer on development projects with responsibility for all Windows aspects
  • Strong infrastructure background with experience with IBM and HP x86 hardware and virtualisation platforms (VMware, Citrix, Hyper-V).
