Overview:
Peak Cellars is located on a 7-acre property down the road from OFE, and is home to our Goldie Road Vineyard. Wine isn’t the only thing the property produces; the half-acre organic vegetable garden and two greenhouses supply the highest quality fruits and vegetables for the Garden Bistro.
We are looking for full- and part-time Wine Educators to join our incredible team of wine and food lovers.

Responsibilities:

ROLE SCOPE

The scope of the Wine Educator is to provide professional, timely and memorable experiences.
Role type: Seasonal full-time (Over 30 hours per week), Seasonal part-time (Less than 30 hours per week).
Location: Lake Country, BC (Near Kelowna)
Reports to: Front of House Manager and Tasting Room Coordinator

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main responsibilities of the Wine Educator include:

  • Greet guests and enthusiastically represent our brand, providing exceptional wine experiences that goes above and beyond the expectations of our guests.
  • Be comfortable with the different services and experiences available for our guests
  • Responsibly pour wine for guests while educating about the brand, varietals, vintages, and approach our winemakers follow.
  • Host vineyard tours and wine tastings, providing top notch guest experiences that rack up the wine sales
  • Assist with presenting food pairing experiences for guests (ex: charcuterie and cheese boards)
  • Promote our wine club membership sign ups and provide information on winery events and products
  • Typical duties could include: provide exceptional experiences that align with guest needs, process sales of wine and merchandise through our POS system, answer phone calls and assist in booking experiences and Bistro reservations, restocking of wine in all areas, assist in fulfilling online or wine club orders including packing & shipping, and opening and closing duties.
  • Wash and polish glassware
  • Follow cleaning checklist and procedures
  • Conduct light housekeeping and other duties as required
