DESCRIPTION

Join Temple Bruer as their new Winemaker, managing all winemaking operations at their 600T site in Langhorne Creek. This is an opportunity to work with an exemplar of organic winemaking and viticulture that produces clean and expressive wines, achieving outstanding consistency in style and quality.
With 50 years of experience using science-led innovations and investment in advanced technology, Temple Bruer produces organic, sustainable wines with minimal intervention and additives. The portfolio showcases a diverse selection of varieties and regions, with a focus on fruit purity and quality from their 250 acres of organically certified vineyards in South Australia.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a hands-on role that will be responsible for all winemaking operations and organic certification requirements. The Winemaker will be a brand advocate, promoting Temple Bruer and sustainable wine production.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Tertiary qualification in oenology
  • Relevant winemaking experience
  • High level of technical knowledge and experience in organic, minimal intervention and/or preservative free winemaking is desirable
  • Experience with Vintrace, preferred
  • Understanding of viticulture and sustainable farming practices preferred
  • Science-led approach to innovation
  • Leadership and people management skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail and operational efficiency
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a small team
  • Valid forklift & driver’s licence
  • Physically capable of performing operational duties
  • Capacity for light domestic travel
  • Ability to work extended hours when required
