POSITION:

We are seeking a motivated intern to join our team in the Purchasing/Admin and Supply Chain department. This role is ideal for individuals early in their career, particularly those with a background from Red River College (Junior) or a related two-year degree. The internship will offer practical experience in supply chain management, spare parts organization, and data entry tasks, all while contributing to the efficiency of the maintenance department.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.
  • Must be comfortable working on your feet for extended periods.
  • Forklift operation may be required (training will be provided).

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proficient in Microsoft SharePoint and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of inventory organization and supply chain management.
  • Strong attention to detail, with experience in organizing spare parts, inventory sorting, and labeling.
  • Understanding of safety protocols, with an emphasis on maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, often completing tasks on your own.
  • Must perform tasks safely and use all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in organizing and labeling spare parts in the maintenance department.
  • Help transport and enter data from the current Preventative Maintenance system into Carl (Excel-based).
  • Audit and verify the equipment list for transport into the Carl system.
  • Provide data entry support to the Maintenance Manager.
  • Assist the maintenance team in determining maximum and minimum stock levels for spare parts.
  • Research and create parts lists for existing equipment.
  • Perform legwork for the spring season, gathering necessary parts and organizing ahead of time.
  • Implement system for parts placement, including assigning bar codes to all parts and ensuring proper shelving.
