Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Woodworking Assistant to support our skilled artisans in creating high-quality wooden products. This role involves hands-on woodworking tasks, maintaining tools and equipment, and ensuring an organized workspace. Ideal candidates have a passion for woodworking, a keen eye for detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within the trade.
This is a Part Time position. We typically need extra hands-on deck when we run larger projects, which typically last 30-90 days per large jobs, smaller jobs are 1- 3 weeks. And during slower times in between jobs we will have work from 1 -3 days per week. Our goal is to try to keep you busy all the time. We will have you on as a contractor and will pay you every Friday evening. And as we grow this could lead to a full-time position.
Typically, hours are Monday to Friday 9-5 and may have more hours during busy times.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in woodworking or a related field will be preferred.
  • Knowledge of woodworking tools, materials, and techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
  • Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting (50lbs) and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Must have own vehicle to get to and from work.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in crafting and assembling wooden products following specifications and designs.
  • Operate and maintain woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Prepare raw materials, including cutting, sanding, and finishing wood.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure all products meet company standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop, including routine cleaning and tool organization.
  • Assist in inventory management, including tracking materials and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Time management is a must.
  • Being punctual and on time is a must.
