POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the implementation and management of various WordPress/WooCommerce websites that support sales growth and transaction simplification. Familiar with a multitude of payment options, complex shipping scenarios, as well as best-practices for security. Integrates data to/from the websites to other back-end databases and services using APIs. Works with the marketing team to support campaign initiatives via landing pages as well as site speed and SEO optimization. Also supports our installation management website, which is currently based on a non-WordPress php/MySQL platform. Will eventually cross-train on other systems and tools to support the Digital Marketing and ECommerce Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years of work experience as a WordPress developer is required
• 2-3 years of experience in WooCommerce, PHP, CSS, and HTML is required
• Experience in API, JavaScript, and MySql are highly desirable
• Basic understanding and ability to follow best practices for SEO is required
• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field (or the equivalent experience)

• Write clean and well-designed code
• Produce detailed specifications
• Troubleshoot, test and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Follow industry best practices for security, coding, and UI development
