QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience of Workday HCM; specifically configuring BPs, Security model changes, Reporting, EIBs.
  • Completed Workday training and direct experience in 2 of the following LDPs:

  • Benefits & Cloud connect for Benefits.
  • Learning
  • Recruitment
  • Advanced Compensation
  • Talent Optimization
  • Absence Management
  • Cloud connect for Payroll
  • Experience of a Global HR Department and its processes; including:

  • Absence

  • Payroll
  • Experience of supporting other corporate applications; specifically being business point of contact, gathering requirements, overseeing change delivery, engaging with vendors
  • Experience of working in an IT / technology delivery team / department using a structured delivery methodology is essential.
  • Experience of Workday FINS configuration and/or experience of Workday Adaptive is an advantage.
  • Experience of the Finance Function and associated processes is an advantage.
  • Experience of Business & Functional Analysis and Change Management
  • Experience of Hireright or LinkedIn Learning is an advantage.

Responsibilities:

PURPOSE

In H1 2021, GAM successfully implemented a greenfield Workday Finance and HR installation with supporting applications including Workday’s Adaptive Planning, Kainos SMART Testing, Yooz and Kryiba.
The successful candidate will be responsible for hands on technical change and administration of the Workday and supporting systems. They will act as third-line support for the HR & Finance team, developing enhancements, report writing, support for interfaces, management of the bi-annual feature releases, prioritisation and delivery of works driven by user need or vendor led enhancements.
This role will provide the candidate the opportunity to broaden their existing experience, as they will be exposed to and configure all areas of the Workday platform across both HR and Finance.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Configure Workday and other Corporate platform systems to meet requirements;
  • Application of disciplined change management adhering to GAM standards and best practise to ensure robust and smooth delivery.
  • Help plan for and provide support for the bi-annual Workday feature releases and supporting system releases.
  • Participate in and influence the GAM prioritisation process.
  • Provide robust, considered advice and guidance to Corporate IT Team colleagues and the business
  • Support internal and external audit reviews, ensuring quality responses are provided in a timely fashion.
  • Develop training materials and deliver training; cross skills-training to other team members, train end-users with new functionality
  • Continuous review of Workday & supporting systems’ roadmaps, identifying opportunities for GAM to leverage new functionality and increase the value of the platform. Identify and plan for end-of-life events
  • Systems Administration and user permissioning. Proactively manage user capabilities to ensure good control environment.
  • Report writing - configure & maintain the outputs for the standard Finance or HR catalogue of reports.
  • Continuous development of requisite technology skills (eg investing in training to ensure skills align to Workday developments)
  • Work closely with the IT team on upstream/downstream system changes and infrastructure developments, ensuring Corporate Systems impacts are understood and mitigated.
