Workday is our global enterprise HR and Finance solution. The functionality in use includes HR core operations, payroll, performance, compensation, financial accounting, budgeting/planning, spend and procurement management, invoicing and project management and much more! Workday is directly integrated with banks, benefit providers, internal billing systems and other internal cloud platforms such as Servicenow.
Reporting to the Platform Manager, IT Corporate Solutions, the Workday Analyst is responsible for providing business analysis, technical, configuration, security and development support across the platform. The role works closely with our Corporate HR and Finance teams to deliver on their technology roadmaps to continuously optimize our Workday investment.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Understand and be familiar with business requirements and business processes across different functional areas (HR, Finance and PMO),
  • Keep up with constantly delivered new functionality and understand module interdependencies in order to advise on the impacts of requested changes,
  • Coach users in business areas in Workday functionality
  • Self prioritize and deliver tasks to meet client expectations
  • Identify, assess, and solve complex business problems for integrating the Workday cloud application with external applications across a wide array of Human Capital Management and Financial functional areas, where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Support Workday integration code including Studio, EIB and supporting 3rd party coding in production and testing environments in conjunction with our vendor partners
  • Develop strong knowledge / understanding of the Workday security model
  • Lead and support the requirements, design, configuration/ development, operations and maintenance of Workday security modules
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting of issues relating to security and reporting needs, perform hands-on security group, domain and user security configurations in Workday HCM
  • Recommend best security practices and provide sound solutions to support end to end business processes
  • Develop and test complex reports using calculated fields, matrix/composite reports and other reporting technologies in Workday
  • Perform on-going security audits, maintain security controls per audit policies and guidelines and perform impact analysis due to new needs, change requests or Workday system upgrades
  • Develop broad knowledge of various functional areas in Workday and their interdependencies
  • Research and understand new features or functionality as requested in order to provide feedback and recommendations on best approach to achieve desired outcome
  • Understanding users requirements relating to identified issues, proposed enhancements & feature requests
  • Provide direction / support / guidance for support team members to implement required changes, enhancements & features, including assistance with the development of test scenarios relating to the requested changes
  • Configure and implement new functionality in multiple environments and support testing
  • Partner with business lines to develop an understanding of full end to end business processes (on & off system) to better leverage technology for optimization; Assist with the related requirements and process documentation
  • Develop a deep understanding of the business process framework to make recommendations relating to desired changes (& provide guidance to support the team as noted above.
  • Build knowledge on Workday reporting and dashboards coordinate a reporting peer review team across functional areas
  • Design, build, test and deploy integration solutions between Workday and 20+ internal/external platforms
  • Quality peer review of reports generated with the other functions (Ensure use of consistent data objects, calculations, etc to yield consistent results when reporting on the same types of data)
  • Ensure testing protocol compliance from report writers in business before releasing reports to production

Skills and Experience:

Must Have(s):

  • 2+ years previous experience in ERP / HRIS as a super user in Workday
  • Ability to partner with business lines to understand and analyze requirements
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships
  • Ability to build solutions based on target outcomes with minimal direction from senior staff
  • Ability to learn through online research and interaction with other users (Workday Community)
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Attention to detail and strong documentation skills
