To strengthen our team, we are looking for an expert who is experienced in designing, optimizing and overseeing the technical architecture and implementation of Workday solutions to ensure they align with business needs and best practices. Your assignment

  • You are technically responsible for both managing the global Workday platform (incl. Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Benefits, Recruiting, and Learning) and overseeing all architecture, data, and interfaces end-to-end.
  • By doing so, and by providing technical guidance, you ensure the platform’s architecture, business processes and configuration are optimized.
  • In collaboration with internal stakeholders, you guide the development of the Workday architecture and roadmap strategy as well as design and oversee the architecture of Workday solutions to ensure alignment with business requirements.
  • You engage with internal HR teams on a regular basis to understand and implement updates to the Workday platform, ensuring enhancements align with best practices and improve user experience.
  • You collaborate with and coordinate the external AMS Support Provider to review and coordinate testing of configurations, ensuring all changes are thoroughly vetted before moving to production.
  • You are responsible for the technical configuration review of biannual Workday releases, working closely with the Workday Platform Owner to prepare the business for new features.
  • Last but not least, you support your team with reports required for the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to ensure successful delivery and adoption of Workday solutions, and continuously seek out and implement innovative functionality and emerging industry trends to optimize the Workday landscape.

Your profile

  • At least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years of significant experience in the functional configuration of Workday.
  • Certification in Workday Core HCM as well as 2 to 3 additional Workday certifications that are relevant to the advertised position, e. g. Talent & Performance, Learning, Recruiting, Reporting, Absence or Compensation & Benefits.
  • A degree in computer science, business informatics, or another related subject would be beneficial.
  • Proven experience in project implementations and managing complex Workday environments.
  • Experience in delivering bespoke, localized solutions across global markets, ideally complemented by an expertise in reporting.
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive solutions documentation, including business process flows, functional design specifications, configuration guides, test scenarios, and training materials.
  • An organized personality with the ability to and experience of managing time, conflicting demands, multiple workstreams and stakeholders, especially senior executives, simultaneously.
  • A creative, solution-oriented approach to challenges, even in complex or difficult situations.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills in English, German would be beneficial.
