Responsibilities:

  • An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced practitioner to join the evolving Children’s Workforce Academy in the role of Workforce Development Coordinator (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion). This newly created permanent post forms part of our continued improvement activity in driving strength based, relational and collaborative practice in our work with children, young people and their networks with specific focus upon minority protected characteristic groups.
  • The role of Workforce Development Coordinator (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion), will be responsible for the development and implementation of all associated matters relating to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion initiatives aligned to the Council and specifically Children and Young People’s Services in addition to analysing and evaluating impact.
  • The Workforce Development Coordinator (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) will assist in supporting our ambition in creating a diverse workforce which is representative of our communities and ensuring that service delivery meets the needs of the diverse communities we serve.
  • As a Workforce Development Coordinator (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) you will need substantial experience within local government, preferably Children’s Services and have experiences within working in an equality and diversity role, with good understanding of national priorities and programmes.
  • Our Workforce Development Coordinator (Equality, Diversity and Inclusion) will be a confident communicator and have experience of developing and maintaining positive relationships with all partners and regulatory bodies.
