Description:

Project Management Responsibilities: To analysis and adopt approaches capable of achieving sustainability and spread of successful service improvement initiatives Work across the Alliance work streams and High Priority Pathways to maximise the benefits of service improvement and redesign, leading to an improved experience for patients. Provide cover and support for colleagues working within the Programme Management Office Work autonomously on agreed Cancer Alliance programmes. Provides training on own project to peers, clinicians, service managers and staff at all levels. Develop a concise annual work plan containing clear objectives, tasks and identified leads.
Collate and provide regular feedback within the projects/programmes. Demonstrate an ability to receive, interpret and apply highly complex information. Demonstrate an aptitude for resolving problems. Design and conduct audits relative to workforce and education.
Provide specialist expertise and oversight to colleagues both internal and external to the Alliance. To be responsible for the self- development of skills and competencies through participation in learning and development activities, and to maintain up to date technical and professional knowledge relevant to the post. To lead and develop funding applications where required. This will include agreement of milestones for implementation and evaluation of role success, including any cost savings for providers.
Stakeholder management Promote the adoption of innovative strategies and models of work. Responsible for proposing and drafting changes, implementation and interpretation to policies, guidelines and service level agreements (SLAs) which may impact on workforce and education programmes. Lead on workforce and education policy development with impact across the organisation. To engage and develop collaborations for quality workforce and education improvement across whole health communities, for the realisation of equitable access to quality care and the achievement of outcome ambitions for all patients
