JOB – RELATED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Economics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • 2 years proven experience in workforce planning, data analysis, or a similar role within logistics or a related industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to propose effective strategies to improve labor efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Knowledge of shift patterns and logistics operations is preferred

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE:

We are seeking a Workforce and Labor Planning Analyst to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing data-driven insights and recommendations to optimize labor efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This role will involve detailed analysis of headcount versus volume metrics, productivity, overtime, absenteeism, and shift patterns. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the right workforce levels are in place to meet operational demands while improving efficiency.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • LABOR PLANNING & FORECASTING:Analyze workforce requirements by evaluating headcount against logistics volume forecasts and operational needs. Ensure alignment between labor supply and business demand.
  • DATA ANALYSIS:Collect, analyze, and interpret labor data, including productivity stats, absenteeism rates, overtime, and labor costs. Identify trends and anomalies, providing actionable insights to improve performance.
  • TREND IDENTIFICATION:Use historical and real-time data to recognize patterns in workforce performance, including productivity trends, shift efficiency, and attendance issues. Propose proactive solutions to address inefficiencies.
  • SHIFT PATTERN MANAGEMENT:Analyze and recommend shift patterns that maximize productivity while balancing labor costs. Ensure optimal coverage for peak operational periods while minimizing idle time or overtime.
  • COST EFFICIENCY ANALYSIS:Evaluate labor costs, proposing strategies to optimize workforce allocation and reduce unnecessary expenses. Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures in alignment with operational goals.
  • REPORTING:Generate and maintain accurate reports on labor efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and performance metrics for stakeholders. Provide real-time insights to support decision-making processes.
  • COLLABORATION:Work closely with operations, HR, and finance teams to ensure the effective implementation of labor strategies and optimize workforce allocation across the business.
