Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Working Student (f/m/d) to join Planner product development team to support the product manager in his tasks. Planner is a lighthouse digital product used in the company’s cement plants for production planning and optimization.
As a working student, you will work on operational and strategic tasks and support rollout and adoption of Planner in the cement plants worldwide. You will also collaborate with the product team to brainstorm ideas, discuss features, and prototype UX designs.

Your next challenge

  • Global Software Implementation: Lead the charge in introducing and setting up our software in plants around the world to reach a tangible impact on our global operations.
  • Management of Digital Products: Work closely with the product manager of Planner and the development team to solve day-to-day challenges of software development and digital product management.
  • User Support & Feature Introduction: Be the go-to expert for our existing users and plants. Provide support and introduce new features that enhance their experience and productivity.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination: Collaborate with stakeholders from various departments and teams to drive product development. Your coordination skills will ensure seamless integration and continuous improvement of our software. Research and understand the interdependencies that exist and use this knowledge to drive forward the product management in the most efficient way.
  • Shape Planner’s Evolution: Brainstorm ideas with the product team and discuss features and their implementation. Collaborate with UX designers and participate in UX research.
  • Agile Software Development: Learn how software product development is organized using SCRUM, agile methods, etc.
  • Data Analysis: Learn the basics of Python and SQL to enhance your work in Excel for data analysis.

Your profile

  • Fluent in both English and German (both on C1 level).
  • Studying Business Administration/Management with a focus on Information Systems, Operations Management, or Management Studies, or Business Informatics/Engineering.
  • Excellent MS Excel & PowerPoint skills. Basic Python (data exploration) and SQL skills are a plus.
  • You are energetic, solution-oriented, and possess a “can do” mentality. You can take tasks and drive them independently to the complete resolution.
  • You work pragmatically and with a hands-on approach.
  • You can present complex topics in a simple and structured way.
  • You are comfortable to communicate with different/many people daily, and you are confident in communication with stakeholders of various seniority levels (from a plant operator to a board member).
  • Comfortable working in a multicultural environment and can get along with our users in over 20 countries.
  • Ideally, you are familiar with operations research methods (modeling) and able to describe real-life circumstances mathematically.
  • You are a quick learner.
