Description:

Global Collateral Margin Management contributes to the mitigation of counterparty credit risk, by ensuring a timely exchange of Collateral with bilateral Counterparts and with Clearing Houses (CCP). The main responsibility of Global Collateral Margin Operations is to ensure the adequate level of collateralization based on the negotiated terms of the legal agreements with the counterparties as well as execute in a timely manner the obligations at the European Central Bank level, by allocating Cash & Non-Cash as Collateral for liquidity management purposes.
Within this global function the Unit provides a key support to the OTC Derivatives, CCP and Repo/Securities Lending Business as well as to their related Credit Risk Department of the Bank.

Responsibilities:

  • Support in the implementation of operational processes in the collateral management of bilateral OTC derivatives and the collateralisation of central counterparties (CCP), as well as portfolio reconciliation
  • Checking control actions in internal and external applications and reporting to internal stakeholder
  • Evaluating and clarifying discrepancies with the responsible teams and departments
  • Supporting to enhance process by identifying areas for improvement
  • Support in the implementation of projects either through specifications or testing
