Lloyds Bank Corporate Markets Wertpapierhandelsbank GmbH (LBCMW) was established in response to the UK’s decision to exit the European Union for the purpose of carrying on elements of the commercial banking business of LBG.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Working Student to work with our Debt Capital Markets team in Frankfurt a.M.
You’ll help support the continued growth of the European Financial Institutions and corporate DCM business by supporting both teams with their day-to-day activities. These include an understanding how the team operates and what the requirements are of our clients, staying abreast of market and regulatory developments with a focus on EU countries as well as the North America and UK where LBCM’s key investor bases are based, helping the team with the production of pitch materials and client presentations as well as helping generate trade ideas.
We understand and contribute proactively to the bank’s business strategy of servicing clients by leveraging our footprint and building franchise with a focus on EU-based banks, insurance companies and corporations.
You’ll actively communicate with other teams within capital markets as well as coverage, Financial Markets sales and the legal and compliance teams in. Supporting with regular production of pricing indications, market updates and pitch materials and provide continuously best in class service to our clients through the materials we produce to help build further the financial markets franchise particularly with EU clients.
We’ll support you to become familiar with the bank’s risk profile and appetite and understand DCM processes as well as the steps the team required to undertake from a legal and compliance perspective before undertaking a DCM transaction.

What you’ll need

  • To be enrolled in a Finance, Economics, Business or Engineering degree program (or similar)
  • have strong financial background combined with analytical capabilities;
  • have good communication skills in German and English, oral and written
  • bring team spirit, enthusiasm, curiosity, flexibility as well as strong attention to detail
  • are able to take initiative leading progressively to autonomy on some specific tasks including market updates and putting together presentations for clients
  • are familiar with MS office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point)
