Description:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Your chance to join Northwave, one of Europe’s leading security service providers.

YOUR START AT NORTHWAVE

For more than 18 years, we have specialised in protecting companies from cyber attacks. With our integrated services, which combine people, processes and technology, we are one of the leading providers in Europe.
As part of our Student Programme, we are looking for motivated working students who want to start their career in the security industry. As part of the Security Operations Centre (SOC), you will handle our customers’ daily alarms and security incidents. This means that you will receive incoming alarms, analyse them, process them independently or as part of a team, depending on their type and complexity, or escalate them internally to your colleagues.
We are looking for students who can support us in incident handling for one or two full days a week. This takes place in “shifts” during normal office hours. Of course, we make sure that your working days and availability are compatible with your studies. Shifts are always organised on a mutual basis. We are also happy to help you find a topic for your thesis. In our Cyber Fusion Centre, we combine our extensive industry knowledge, our research into the latest threats and technologies and our experience from working with our customers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The most important thing for us is that you fit into the team and are keen to help shape and advance Northwave. Of course, we also have a few technical requirements for this position.

EDUCATION

You are studying cyber security, IT forensics or computer science, ideally with a specialisation in IT security.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

You have already gained some experience, e.g. as part of an internship or a previous apprenticeship. Perhaps you enjoy taking part in CTFs in your spare time and reading the latest ThreatResponses.
