Description:

YOUR START AT NORTHWAVE

For more than 18 years, we have specialized in protecting companies from cyber attacks. With our integrated services, which combine people, processes and technology, we are one of the leading providers in Europe.
We are looking for motivated working students who would like to start their career in the security industry. As part of the Security and Privacy Office, you deal with the ‘business’ security part of companies. For example, with compliance with laws, guidelines and standards. This includes, for example, information security management but also data protection issues.
Our SPO offers customers, among other things, a contact address where they can contact them if they have security questions (e.g. to check phishing emails). In the Security and Privacy Office, you handle daily security incidents and questions from our customers. This means that you receive incoming inquiries and problems that arise, analyze them, process them independently or in a team depending on their type and complexity, or forward them internally to the responsible contact person. You will work closely with our security consultants and learn hands-on how information security is implemented and managed.
We are looking for students to support us in incident handling one or two days a week. This takes place in “shifts” during normal office hours. Of course, we ensure that your working days and availability are compatible with your studies. The division of shifts always takes place in mutual exchange. We would also be happy to help you find a topic for your thesis. In our Cyber Fusion Center we combine our extensive industry knowledge, our research into the latest threats and technologies, and our experience from working with our customers.

EDUCATION

Are you studying security management, IT management or something similar? Ideally, you already have experience and, above all, an interest in processes and topics such as data protection, information security and/or management systems.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

You have already gained initial experience, e.g. as part of an internship or previous training. Of course, you should be familiar with common Office applications. You also have an independent and structured way of working.
