Description:
THE POSITION
We are seeking an experienced human resource (HR) professional to join the Reef Authority’s People Services team to provide specialist contemporary workplace relations advice and support to the agency.
The responsibilities of the Workplace Relations Advisor include providing specialist tailored advice; enterprise agreement and policy interpretation; managing and resolving employee and industrial relation matters; developing and conducting training for Reef Authority employees and supervisors; and supporting supervisors and employees through mentoring and coaching, to enhance team capability and effectiveness.
The Workplace Relations Advisor uses their excellent judgment and subject matter expertise to manage matters relating to performance management, underperformance, investigation of alleged breaches of the code of conduct, bullying and harassment, workplace conflict/dispute resolution, and reviews of action.
This position works closely with internal clients to build understanding of business needs, and champion ongoing process and capability improvement and change initiatives. The Workplace Relations Advisor works in close consultation with other areas of People Services to ensure streamlined service delivery.
The current position is ongoing however through this process may create a merit pool to fill similar ongoing and non-ongoing positions that become available within the next 18 months.
