As a Workplace System Engineer at Ivy Partners, you will be in charge of :
- Contribute to defining standards and best practices for device usage.
- Collaborate closely with project and product teams to advise on the use of standard devices or the identification of new ones.
- Engage with stakeholders to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation, gathering business requirements to continuously enhance the device portfolio.
- Take an active role in designing the architecture for provisioning, managing, and securing standard devices.
- Test and validate new hardware devices or configurations to meet evolving business needs, ensuring standard continuity throughout the device lifecycle, market changes, and new use case adoption.
- Communicate best practices, standard catalogs, technical documentation, and governance guidelines for the provisioning and adoption of standard devices across the organization.
- Continuously enhance workplace technology in boutiques, logistics centers, and manufacturing sites with solutions tailored to the specific requirements of these environments.
- Provide empathetic and high-quality support to Retail, Logistics, and Manufacturing teams, resolving incoming L3 incidents (from low to high priority) while adhering to established SLAs.
- Coordinate the design, communication, and implementation of small projects specific to the Retail ecosystem.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends through research and development. Evaluate and recommend new technologies for integration into the network architecture.
Profile :
- You are comfortable engaging in complex technical discussions in interconnected environments and can effectively summarize key points for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Curious and enthusiastic about discovering and testing new technologies, you are always looking for better ways of doing things.
- You excel at gathering and eliciting requirements from both business stakeholders and technical partners.
- With a solid foundation in Networking and Security concepts, you are also experienced with Cloud services, especially SaaS applications. Advanced Cloud knowledge, preferably in AWS, is a plus.
- You have scripting experience in at least one language (e.g., Python, PowerShell), with more coding experience and familiarity with low-code tools (such as Power Platform) being a plus.
- You have hands-on experience with PC configuration through GPO, Intune profiles, or custom scripts, including Kiosk mode settings and managing Android devices through MDM solutions.
- You understand VDI provisioning in a Cloud environment (AWS, Citrix) and have working experience with printing protocols (PCL & ZPL) and servers.
- Familiar with POS devices, credit card terminals, and typical retail computing setups, you also understand the impact of hardware specifications on performance.
- You possess basic knowledge of supply chain streams (Customer Service, Logistics, Manufacturing) and can analyze logs to perform root cause analysis of complex issues.
- Experience with Tanium is a plus.
- A strong team player, you are inquisitive, willing to seek help when needed, and capable of working independently in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks effectively.
