JOB ADVERT SUMMARY

Rand Water is looking for a candidate to assist with electrical installations, pumpstations and equipment within the Electrical Department and to assist with day-to-day maintenance of all electrical equipment, new installations and repair of breakdowns throughout the distribution network to an acceptable standard.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Grade12/equivalent/ N2 Electrical.
• +2 years experience in an electrical environment or Abet Level 4 +5 years’ experience in an electrical environment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical principles.
• Ability to do electrical repairs on lights, plugs, stoves, geysers,electrical appliances, submersible pumps.
• Basic knowledge of safety.
• Driver’s licence.
• Ability to do standby.

KNOWLEDGE

• Basic knowledge of safety.
• Basic knowledge of electrical principles.

SKILLS

• Good communication skills.
• basic literacy.
• Ability to do electrical repairs on lights, plugs, stoves, geysers,electrical appliances, submersible pumps.

• Assist with planned maintenance repairs and breakdown repairs to electrical plant and equipment.
• Assist with routine inspections and service of plant and equipment.
• Assist with electrical installations.
