We are recruiting for a skilled Workshop/Callout HGV/LCV technician to join the team at our workshop in Broxburn.

The key skills and qualities required are:

  • A good level of technical knowledge, ability and experience in the mechanical repair of commercial vehicles.
  • Car Technicians with a desire to upskill also considered.
  • Ability to organise own workload, work on own initiative and to strict deadlines.
  • Flexible approach to working hours.
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements.
  • A current full driving Licence.
  • PC skills and proficiency are preferable

Responsibilities:

The overall purpose of the role is to carry out general maintenance and repair work on a range of customer vehicles to a high standard. The main duties will be to attend roadside breakdowns or within customers own premises but there will also be some work completed at our own workshop. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a fresh challenge with a dynamic and rapidly growing company.
The shift pattern will be alternating start times of 6am or 8:30am as well as an On Call Rota.

The key responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Working with the service team to maintain and repair customer vehicles both on site and off.
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics as directed.
  • Maintenance of all equipment to the highest standard.
  • Advising the supervisor of any improvements to enhance reliability and reduce costs.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable task which may arise.
  • Attending manufacturer training to keep up to date with industry standards.
