JOB DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS

Job Summary:
We seek a dynamic and experienced Workshop Manager to oversee our automotive repair and maintenance workshop operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for meeting monthly revenue targets, driving customer acquisition, enhancing technician efficiency, and ensuring a high standard of service delivery that minimizes return jobs. Additionally, the Workshop Manager will be required to fully adopt and promote the usage of our proprietary platform to streamline operations and improve customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue Management:
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve and exceed monthly revenue targets.
  • Monitor financial performance, analyze trends, and adjust plans to maximize profitability.
  • Identify opportunities to increase service sales and introduce new revenue streams.
  • Customer Acquisition and Retention:
  • Drive customer acquisition efforts through effective marketing, customer service excellence, and community engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and referrals.
  • Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally to ensure high customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring that all jobs are completed efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
  • Implement and monitor operational processes to improve technician productivity and reduce turnaround time.
  • Ensure that all jobs are done right the first time, minimizing the incidence of return jobs.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead, coach, and motivate a team of technicians and support staff to achieve workshop goals.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to improve individual and team performance.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and professionalism within the workshop.
  • Platform Adoption:
  • Ensure the full adoption and integration of our proprietary platform into all workshop operations.
  • Train staff on platform usage and monitor compliance to ensure seamless operations and accurate record-keeping.
  • Utilize the platform to track job progress, manage inventory, and generate reports for management review.
  • Quality Control:
  • Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure that all repairs and services meet the highest standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of completed work to verify adherence to quality protocols.
  • Address any quality issues promptly to prevent recurrence.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of necessary parts and materials without overstocking.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and negotiate favorable terms where possible.
  • Monitor inventory usage and implement controls to minimize waste and loss.
  • Compliance:
  • Ensure that the workshop operates in compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all workshop activities, including job orders, customer interactions, and financial transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or in a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong understanding of automotive repair and maintenance processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in using digital platforms and technology to manage operations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of inventory management practices and financial acumen.
