REQUIREMENTS:

• Matric, Fitter & Turner qualification with a minimum 5 years post-trade experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Assign tasks to junior staff

Duties and Responsibilities::

• In charge of all water pump assessments, repairs and machining of parts
• Communicate clearly to customers about the progress of repairs and keep them updated
• Receive orders from suppliers
• Testing of pumps
• Managing job cards
• Ensure outgoing orders are packed correctly
• Assist with deliveries and collections of pumps if required by the client
• Assist with on-site pump installations/maintenance when necessary
• Be willing to work overtime on an as-and-when basis
• Keep the workshop clean and tidy
• Ensure the best work flow methods
