Job Description
Chiltern Transport Consortium provides a cross-border shared service and all fleet support functions for 5 police forces over 6 shire counties covering Thames Valley, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Civil Nuclear Constabulary and Hertfordshire. It’s an innovative and successful initiative that continues to provide these forces with a performance-led fleet service.
In this role you will provide admin and clerical support to the workshop management team which includes maintaining stock levels, processing parts orders and job cards and ensuring appropriate records and databases are updated. You will process warranty claims and undertake a range of clerical duties such as filing, photocopying, mail handling and answering telephone queries. The collection and delivery of parts and cars to external and internal locations is required and also receiving new and returned vehicles.
The successful candidate will have knowledge/experience of a large computerised fleet parts/workshop environment with experience of dealing with manufacturers or dealership warranty claims and processes. A working knowledge of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word and Excel is required along with excellent numeracy and communication skills. You will be accurate, paying attention to detail and have the ability to work well as part of a team.
