As workshop supervisor, you will hold an important position in the process of repair and overhaul of military vehicles. You lead the team you are responsible for and:

  • you report to the production or programme manager who also supports in his/her duties
  • You coordinate and control the activities within the workshop,
  • you respect the set rules and specifications and ensure compliance with deadlines and quality standards.
  • You supervise purchasing and, together with the warehouseman, are responsible for the management, safe storage and possible repair of tools for the workshop
  • Controlling operational costs
  • You comply with applicable safety laws and regulations:
  • You plan the supply, in collaboration with the warehouse and production department of all required materials, equipment and supplies;
  • you are responsible for inventory control;
  • you are proactive and make proposals to improve production and operations
  • You lead your team. You maintain discipline among your employees; you handle complaints and provide solutions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

For a Belgian client with an international reputation, candidates with technical experience on military vehicles and accessories are urgently sought.
What are we looking for

We are looking for people with a military profile who have experience in leadership and working with people. You are a born organiser and know how to organise your workplace to achieve success. Do you already have experience within the department of Defence, e.g. in the framework of the Maintenance and Transport Platoon? Then you will definitely qualify. This position is ideal for those who are retired and want to stay useful.

  • Fifth-year college or university degree or equivalent through experience;
  • Two to four years of related experience;
  • Fluent in French and English (writing and speaking);
