JLE Mining and Tunnelling is excited to share we are building a bigger team to meet demands for our expanding business. We are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to join us in our new Newcastle Workshop who is keen to contribute to the continued growth of the business.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Your role will be to lead manage and enforce accountability within JLE Workshop teams, and to make decisions to achieve and meet required outcomes. You must maintain communication with JLE managers relating to project / Manufacturing planning. You will be responsible for supervising JLE Workshop projects and assisting with project planning, aiming for efficient resource and plant planning to achieve desired outcomes, including on the tool’s assistance as and when required.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Representing JLE Electrical as Electrical supervisor working with and supervising JLE Leading hands and Tradesman as required.
  • Lead, manage and supervise JLE Workshop staff and leading hands assisting with the project goals and ensuring positive outcomes around quality and profitability.
  • Assist the Manufacturing and hire manager to Complete monthly project labour and materials forecast.
  • Participate in project handover meetings with JLE estimators and Engineers to ensure all project related information has been discussed and made available.
  • Assist with detailed material, and subcontractor procurement as required in line with tender budgets.
  • Solve cross functional issues within the project crew creating a good culture and leading by example.
  • Communicate with JLE Management and client representatives regarding planning costs and quality for all projects under your supervision.
  • Carry out detailed project handover reports with JLE leading hands ensuring they understand the project and have the materials and resources they require (Scope, Drawings Engineering detail.)
  • Work through detailed project methodology ensuring safety and quality testing is completed always.
  • Lead, manage and make accountable JLE leading hands and tradesman to ensure the intended results are achieved.
  • Maintain strong document control ensuring current plans and documents are being utilized where required and constant communication exists with all stakeholders.
  • Lead, manage, monitor and review JLE quality process for individual projects to insure costs effective installation and commissioning on every project.
  • Asist on the tools for circle path works (outages, changeovers, commissioning) as and when required.
