Workshop Technician - Aviation Maintenance

Overview
Assist the Workshops Supervisor to accomplish maintenance inspections, services, and repairs on all assigned aircraft support equipment.
Will also be responsible for
1.Disassembles, repairs, resembles, adjusts, removes, replaces, services, prepares, preserves, welds, paints, cleans and troubleshoots pneumatic, hydraulics, electrical, gasoline/diesel engine systems, subsystems and components according to applicable manuals and safety directives.
2.Uses and performs user maintenance with common and special tools.
3.Requisitions AGSE parts, and maintains shop and bench stock for repair of ground support equipment.
4.Inspects and prepares forms and records in accordance with DA PAM 738-751.
5.Train host national personnel on the proper maintenance of the AGSE and related components.
6.Responsible for tools and equipment inventory assigned by the supervisor.

Qualification

-High School Completion of a formal GSE training course from an accredited military or civilian school. OJT can substitute formal school training.

• Knowledgeable on The Army Maintenance Management System (TAMMS) applicable to GSE preferable.
• Thorough knowledge of common tools, special tools, hardware and equipment used in the maintenance of ground support equipment.

Experience

-Minimum of 5 Years Must have a minimum of 5 years working with gasoline/diesel engines, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical equipment related ground support equipment.

• Basic machining and welding experience is desirable. Experience with AGPU & MFAG repair maintenance preferred.
• Must be able to troubleshoot GSE malfunctions.
• Must be able to interpret applicable technical data.
